50 Round Review, Nighthawk Custom 10-8

The Nighthawk 10-8 is a full five-inch government 1911 designed for fighting. This subdued collaboration between Nighthawk and 10-8 Consulting looks a little plain but, looks can be deceiving.

Possibly the most awesome feature of the 10-8 are the sights. The super rugged 10-8 Performance rear sight, designed by pistolsmith Hilton Yam, is machined from hardened bar stock and features a generously sized U notch while the front of the slide has been cut to accept a Trijicon night sight. 

This steel frame pistol also boasts a match-grade barrel, extended controls, front and rear slide serrations, front strap checkering, G10 Grips, a light rail and an oversized beaver tail to enhance control.

In terms of performance, the Nighthawk 10-8 is a top-performing handgun. If you have never taken the time to shoot a well-built full-size 1911 chambered in 45 ACP I recommend you stop this video now and head to your local range and rent one. It is your duty as an American.

Sadly, the Nighthawk 10-8 is no longer in production but they can still be found used for $2500-3000 depending on condition.
