Browning was founded to market firearms designed by its namesake, John Moses Browning, one of the most iconic and prolific inventors in the history of firearms. Many Browning products are currently manufactured by either Fabrique Nationale d'Herstal of Belgium, or Miroku in Japan. Browning is currently a fully owned subsidiary of FN Herstal.
