50 Round Review, Nighthawk Custom Agent 2

This week, we are looking at the Nighthawk Agent 2 5-inch 1911 chambered in 45 ACP, the second collaboration between Nighthawk Custom and Agency Arms. 

Fully equipped with premium parts assembled by craftsmen, this pistol feels amazing in the hand. The trigger, mag release, and slide stop are perfect and while I would prefer a little wider single-sided safety it is 100% serviceable.

We were all a little surprised by the mediocre groupings while shooting slowly. For whatever reason the groups didn’t tighten up until we started shooting controlled pairs and Bill Drills. Under recoil, the gun performed flawlessly.

The Nighthawk Agent 2 is, as advertised, a unique and stunning firearm. The street price circa 2024 is $5200 and for those of us that love handcrafted 1911s it is worth every penny.
