50 Round Review, Smith and Wesson CSX 9mm

Welcome to Arnzen Arms 50 Round Reviews. Today, we'll take a closer look at the Smith & Wesson CSX 9mm.

The CSX stands out as the only hammer-fired pistol to enter the double-stack carry gun market. It boasts an alloy frame with ambidextrous manual safeties, an ambidextrous slide stop, and the option for right or left-handed magazine release. Additionally, it offers interchangeable backstraps, accommodating a notable 12+1 round capacity.

While the CSX is generally easy to rack and operate, it leans toward the smaller side, potentially impacting user comfort. Unfortunately, we found the trigger to be lacking in terms of a crisp single-action break. It falls somewhere between acceptable and subpar. Furthermore, while the pistol exhibits reliability, it lacks accuracy and doesn't handle recoil particularly well.

Regrettably, the Smith & Wesson CSX falls short of our expectations. However, if you're specifically seeking a hammer-fired EDC pistol with manual safeties, it may still be worth considering at the MSRP of $609 (circa 2023).
