IDPA Guns
IDPA courses are scenario based and try to recreate "real world" defensive encounters. Almost any gun that would be used for a duty gun, carry gun, or home defense weapon is a viable IDPA competition gun. Most of the divisions would be considered "Production" by USPSA rules. This makes the cost of entry to IDPA low in comparison and it is often the first pistol competition shooters will experience.
